Jeff's parents came out for a quick trip so we decided to take a road trip to Branson, MO. We arrived late Wednesday night and first thing in the morning headed to Silver Dollar City, the local amusement park. We had heard great things about the park and it did not disappoint. It is nestled into the hillside and is just beautiful. And it was clean. That earns extra points in my book.
Anna got found a map right away and started plotting.
Near the entrance they have a cafe with fresh baked goods. The smell lured us in and we bought some cinnamon rolls. They were divine.
We spent the day riding the rides, eating food and just enjoying each others' company.
The little boys were especially cute while we waited for the train to board.
Anna found tons of huge maple leaves.
Isaac was not so sure about the roller coaster. Despite our urging, Anna wouldn't ride.
Grandma was kind enough to go on the teacups with Anna and Isaac while the rest of us took a little break.
His hair is seriously incredible.
While the big kids were riding the kiddie rides, I took a few (read: a lot) of pictures of Sammy. Ben was asleep in the stroller and he was just being so adorable. Man, those eyes...

The grounds were just beautiful. The leaves were just beginning to change so there was still a lot of green.
Poor Isaac was so tired by the end of the day. He jumped in the babies' stroller on the way back to the car.
And here is our behemoth van that we cruised in around Branson. Larry and Marlene were so generous to rent it so we could all ride together. (With ample space to spare!)

Looks like such a fun trip. Your boys are getting so grown up. I love that picture of Anna and Issac too. So cute. Hope you had a Merry Christmas.
Love the van! I am a proud owner of a 12 passenger van and although it's a little embarrassing to drive, it's pretty nice to fit a ton of people in! Awesome road trips!
