We love to go down to the South Platte River and hang out. Now that the weather is improving, we've been a few time to throw rocks, look for fish, and enjoy the scenery. Monday night we packed a picnic and headed to our favorite spot.
Isaac cracked us up first, because his hat was hilarious and kept falling over his eyes and second, because he jabbered constantly pausing only to take breaths. Apparently he is as inspired by rivers as his father.
Anna was glued to the side of the river throwing rocks, digging, and pretending. On this occasion the rocks were savagely ripped from their families and thrown to rock eating fish. Before throwing the rocks they called out (via Anna) "Mudder! Fadder!" followed by the launch.
Jeff brought his pole more for Anna's sake than his own. She was so excited to fish with him. Jeff was pretty sure the only thing that he had a prayer of catching was carp. Thankful no nasty carp were reeled in and Anna was too distracted with her rock drama to care.
My camera just does not do the scenery justice. You'd think by the pictures that everything is brown. Vibrant greens, beautiful blue water, buds and flowers were everywhere. I'll just have to commit those images to memory.
