August Photo Dump

Jeff's Alma Maters. Go Utes and Rams! (And T-Birds!...sadly not pictured.)

Laundry basket babies.

My three boys snuggling while big sister is at school.

Ben's adorable profile.

Backyard Ben.

Messy Sam.

Watching for Air Force planes to fly over our house. (We're right by the base.)

Ben at eye level.

Thai Take-out Night! Me, Abby, Lissa, and Melanie.

Iron Man.

Terrible picture, but that's because it was taken at midnight when Isaac woke us up scared of thunder and lightning.

Such good friends most of the time.

Reading stories before bed.

Scraggly, but sweet.

Father and son.

Handsome boy.

Proof that I live in the same house as all these people.

The End of Summer

School starts mid-August here in Kansas and it is still plenty hot. But with school days come schedules and responsibilities and summer has started to slip away. We've tried to hold on as long as possible with after-school swimming and sprinklers.

More Swimming

Two of Everything...

...including high chairs.

It's opened up a whole new world for Ben and Sam.

Anna and Isaac are nearly as excited about it as the little boys.

The Theeeeme-Park

Every week on our way to church we drive past All-Star Adventures Theme Park. And each time we pass the kids yell, "The theeeeeeeeme park! The theeeeeeeme park!" I looked up the prices online at the beginning of summer and was a bit shocked at the prices. I decided it was definitely not worth it. But Anna persisted. We compromised and I told Anna that if she worked to earn the money for the ticket, we would go.

After many collected dirty bottles and diapers, washing windows, organizing closets, and a few other projects, Anna earned enough coins for a ticket. She proudly brought her big bag of money to the park and paid for her ticket. (She handed the bag of coins to the man at the counter and then we snuck it back out and paid with a debit card. We didn't want to punish the poor cashier.)

Anna declared that the park was better than Disney World. I think her memory fails her...but anyway, on to the theme park!

Be warned, I had a hard time editing down the amount of photos.

The anticipation was just about killing Anna.

Poor Ben. It was really hot.

Jeff took advantage of a rare moment when Isaac was holding still to take some shots of him. I think he was watching a water fountain.

Oh, my. Those cheeks are killing me.

I can hardly bear not to kiss them constantly.

Best stroller ever.

Mini golf was a hit!

We ended with my favorite, the carousel.

Anna's First Day of Kindergarten

 Before school pictures.

 Ready to go.
Waiting, waiting, waiting.

Finally everyone is ready.

Game face on.

Meeting in the gym before the school bell rings.

Still excited.

Getting a little more nervous as more kids show up.

Definitely nervous.

And she's off!
