It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

An open-air mall near our home hosted a tree-lighting ceremony. They had some great events. There were Nutcracker performances, ice-skating, prizes, and lots of people. There were also lots of retail temptation. I resisted, and luckily we grandma and grandpa spoiled us with caramel apples and fudge.

Warming Up

In our house, hot chocolate is a required after-snow-play indulgence. And let's be real, I love me an excuse for chocolate.

Anna helped make our treat. She loves to help cook and is a great at pouring and stirring. Even though her mix usually ends up on the floor, her enthusiasm is unmatched.

My favorite conversation of the day:

"Anna, do you want to help me make some hot chocolate?"

"Oh, SURE, Mom. You betcha. SURE! O-kay, let's do it!"

"Mo-om."

"Yeah?"

"It's so much fun to drink hot chocolate."

SNOW!

It was a bit of a weak showing for our first storm here in Denver, but we had to celebrate anyway. Anna has been so excited for snow and we check outside almost every morning. It was so fun to come down and remind Anna to look out the window and check. We immediately bundled up and headed out. Anna was most excited to make a snowball.
"Mo-om, huwwy, huwwy, I got to go and make a SNOWBALL!"

While You're Waiting

I'm way behind on posting, and I'll get to it sometime. While you're waiting on pins and needles, here's some pics of my boy.
